As we entertain family and friends at this special time of year, we thought we'd share a favorite holiday recipe. We hope you will give it a try, or pass it along to the cooks in your family. In years to come it may become a tradition! Enjoy!
Holiday Rum Cake
(It's Easy)
1 Cup chopped nuts
1 package yellow cake mix
1- 3 3/4 oz. box vanilla instant pudding
4 eggs
1/2 Cup cold water
1/2 Cup oil
1/2 Cup Rum
Mix ingredients above. Chop some nuts and sprinkle on the bottom of a greased and floured bundt or tube cake pan. Bake in 325 degree oven for 1 hour. I like to cut marcharino cherries in half and place along the bottom of the pan along with the nuts for an added decoration.
Glaze
Bring to a boil in saucepan and then drizzle over baked cake after taking out of pan:
1 stick butter
1/4 Cup water
1 Cup sugar
1/2 Cup Rum
